The Herman Liebman Memorial Fund is a 501(c)3 formed by Amalgamated and Park Reservoir to promote educational and cultural programs.

At a time when capitalism and communism were competing, Abraham Kazan, Herman Liebman and others like them believed that cooperatives offered a wiser and fairer foundation for society. Unfortunately their full goals were not achieved, but cooperatives remain important in our nation and throughout the world.

Our goal for this website is to offer resources and inspiration for those who share “The Spirit of Cooperation”. For former cooperators of Amalgamated and Park Reservoir, it is a reminder of the important role our co-ops played in your lives. For our present cooperators and neighbors, it is a source of information about current educational and cultural programs of the Herman Liebman Memorial Fund.
